I graduated at 25 and went straight into oil and gas at CNRL, working FIFO shifts in Fort McMurray while building blockchain platforms on the side. Eventually left for crypto full-time, won pitch competitions in Ottawa and Las Vegas, and kept playing music in five different contexts simultaneously. I'm 28 now with a mortgage, living in the messy middle, but the vision is intact and I'm still building.
Most people call me Mayo because it's easier than Mayowa. I'm Nigerian-Canadian, grew up between the Netherlands and Canada, and went to three different universities before finding my way. I cooked professionally from 14 to 24, then ended up negotiating $20M+ in contracts at one of Canada's biggest mining operations while building five platforms on night shifts. The work has always happened in parallel, never sequentially.
Design, data, and decentralization are three sides of the same coin for me. The SQL tool I built that nobody asked for ended up saving 4,000 hours a year. The blockchain protocol started from a color I saw at 30,000 feet. The afro fusion band is named Nigeria spelled backwards. It's all connected, and it's all the same creative process applied to different problems.
Blockchain & AI
A decentralized protocol for cryptographic proof of human presence without surveillance. Built on the XRP Ledger. Started from a color — #818cf8 — on a FIFO flight to Fort McMurray.
Stand With Crypto Canada · EasyA Shark Tank · CBC Award
An AI platform built on PresenceNet's trace architecture. Transparent reasoning, verified presence data, multi-model support. The first AI platform that knows you were really there.
A social wallet for the XRP economy. Send and receive XRP using human-readable $handles instead of cryptographic addresses. Every transaction builds a Trail.
The central hub for XRP Ledger innovation in Canada. Bilingual. Non-profit. I built the directory and I'm the only Canadian project listed in it.

Music
Thelonious Monk. 1954. One of the most original thinkers in jazz history named his composition by spelling Nigeria backwards — the diaspora coded into the music, hidden in plain sight for those who know. That's the band.
AIREGIN is afro fusion. Afrobeats, afrojazz, afrohouse — somewhere right in there, a little alternative and weird, but super groovy. The kind of music where people dance for hours without realizing it.
Nigeria spelled backwards. Mayowa shortened to Mayo. Identity coded in — present for those who look closely enough.
